Rudge Light Roadster - 52 Inch Wheel - D. Rudge Coventry England - 1887
One of the nicest bicycles on offer during the period of the Ordinary was the Rudge Light Roadster. Tangent spoke wheels, hollow rims, and Rudge ball bearings. Serial number 29453 with bearing number 34504. This machine is equipped with the Lillybridge hammock saddle. The bike is presented in "as found" condition after a cleaning only. This cycle bears the distributors cartouche on the backbone (frame) of Stoddard and Lovering, Agents, Boston Massachusetts. A remarkable survivor.
