Some very fine leather saddles were made for bicycles in the 1880's - 1890's. Saddle making was a major industry. Pictured is a Brooks "International" Model B 80 used for a solid tired safety bicycle . Brooks began making equestrian saddles in 1866. They added bicycles saddles throughout the 1880's - 1890's. These were very comfortable for the rough roads of the day.
The second saddle uses a Harrington's Arab Cradle Spring and was made for use on an adult tricycle.
